Ehd’s a caveman living on his own in a harsh wilderness. He’s strong and intelligent, but completely alone. When he finds a beautiful young woman in his pit trap, it’s obvious to him that she is meant to be his mate. He doesn’t know where she came from; she’s wearing some pretty odd clothing, and she makes a lot of noises with her mouth that give him a headache. Still, he’s determined to fulfill his purpose in life – provide for her, protect her, and put a baby in her.
Otherwise Unharmed - the final book in the Evan Arden Series, will be available late in 2013.
After Evan Arden was imprisoned by the enemy for a year and a half, he returned from the desert as a military hero. He’d suffered some minor injuries during his captivity, was discharged from the Marines with just a touch of shellshock, but was considered otherwise unharmed.
Incarcerated for his breakdown and subsequent assault on the neighborhood park, Evan takes a deal from the feds to get out of going to prison, and ends up having to take on his former employer to protect the woman he loves.

There’s a moment when it comes to amazing books.
Whether you find it in the middle of a sentence, the last page of a chapter, or when that titanium, paper-like wire of sexual tension *finally* gives.
It’s the moment where you realize that the book you’re reading completely and irrevocably owns you... It (Surviving Raine) has that moment...

Evan Arden, a Paradox
Evan Arden in Otherwise Alone is a complex figure, a riddle if you will, though not one that the reader will easily solve. He will get under your skin so deliciously that you will insist on finding your own answers to the complexities of this character...

Otherwise Occupied Teaser. . .
This seems to be a common theme in a lot of the messages I have received since Otherwise Alone debuted on Amazon in December – will there be a second book?
*Otherwise Alone Spoilers Below*
It ends on a (necessary) low note, to be sure. I think of it as something that is complete by itself, yet there is room to wonder what might happen down the road. Did Lia ever come back to the cabin? What did Lia do when she found him gone? Does she figure out a way to find him in Chicago? Will Evan go back looking for her later?

Fans Help Choose the Next Book Plot
February 12, 2013
Fans were given the choice of three summaries that had been playing around in my head for quite some time. I had already written bits and pieces of each, but I wasn't sure which one to attempt next. I wanted to find out which ones the fans were intrigued by most.
- Aasimar - On top of the barrier between worlds he stands in ever-present vigil, keeping watch over our side of Hillcliff, the wall that separates the land of humans from the creatures of the night. His strength is beyond human, his power incomprehensible. Without him, the creatures beyond Hillcliff would descend upon the city and destroy us all.
- The Gladiator's Slave - As the Champion Gladiator, I was favored by both the common and the elite. As a slave, my life was not my own. As a man, I thought I only wanted one thing besides victory – a woman untouched by another man.
- Truffles and Treason - People came to my door in the middle of the night with FBI printed on the back of their Kevlar vests, and they put guns to my head. Something I did at work wasn’t right. Something I did got people killed. I was only doing what they told me to do, so how can I be on trial for treason? How does a man who can barely speak defend himself?

Lieutenant Evan Arden sits in a shack in the middle of nowhere, waiting for orders that will send him back home - if he ever gets them. Other than his loyal Great Pyrenees, there's no one around to break up the monotony. The tedium is excruciating, but it is suddenly interrupted when a young woman stumbles up his path.
He has two choices - pick her off from a distance with his trusty sniper-rifle, or dare let her approach his cabin and enter his life.
Why not? It's been ages, and he is otherwise alone...
